Sandy’s recent TikTok lipsync with the lyrics, “Broke Boys Don’t Deserve No Pussy” made me realize how easy it is to break men’s ego. What was supposed to be a typical post became targeted for broke boys—well… that was at least the people who filled the comment section. The same people who threw different kinds of hatred and opinions that only mattered to their same font, to their fellow boys who are as well close-minded.
It’s hideous, actually. It just proved the sentence’ point—and not even a chance they deserve high-valued women with that perspective.
How foolish it is to think that men demand for women not even close to their level. Because simply, if you cannot provide, then don’t date women who are not the same level as you. In this economy, love cannot feed a growling stomach. Imagine if a woman can buy herself flowers, take herself out for dates, what even is the point of dating if she can do it all?
In that case, you can no longer boast your income if she herself can provide higher than what you earn. Guess if I were her, I'll just man up for myself since not all men can—especially those who claim statements for themselves when it doesn’t even fit theirs. They just have a big ego that they’re afraid of being broken by society. “
Surely, it goes both ways. The same principles should be applied towards us women.
But here’s the thing: it was never about being broke. Some “broke” boys are still building the future they aspire to have for themselves and their partner. Of course, there are men who hustle every side quest just to earn an income. However, those men who still use those girls involved in the video for content verified that it is also about the mindset. The mindset and stance towards women.
If only you’re ready to accept the harsh reality then you should be dating. You cannot always act superior towards women, treating us as your competitors just because you are a man. In this modern society, women can be as capable as you. As wealthy as you.
I highly acknowledge that love won’t be formed out of wealth and greed. Love is weak if it’s built out of that. Or should we even call it “love”?
However, it’s not our fault for having our bars set up high. We cannot escape the practical realities inside a relationship in this era.. Money does not always represent greediness—it is also about security, future plans, and the ability to provide for the basic needs once connection gets deeper. Just like what the saying says, “Women are naturally expensive. Choose the one you can afford.”
If the future for yourself isn’t even secured yet, then you really deserve no woman.
