NEWS | OPPO, MLBB Launch Hyper Legend Cup to Ignite Campus E-sports

Registration opened today for the OPPO Hyper Legend Cup x Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Campus Series, inviting university students aged 18 and above, as well as recent alumni who graduated within the past two years, from Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, and Singapore.

Building on the grassroots success of last year’s OPPO Smooth Legend Cup, the tournament now shifts its focus to campuses, aiming to create structured competitive pathways for student players.

Participants will compete in National Qualifiers during the first two weeks of March, followed by National Finals in the second and third weeks. The competition will culminate in the Cross-National Finals, set for April 16–19 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The collaboration between global tech brand OPPO and game developer MOONTON Games supports MLBB’s Golden Month campaign, which seeks to empower students with regional opportunities and foster thriving campus esports communities.

In Malaysia, the tournament integrates the MOONTON Student Leader Championship (MSLC) Season 6, with its champion earning a direct slot in the cross-national stage.

Jiang Linlin, OPPO’s Asia Pacific Region Chief Marketing Officer, emphasized the vision behind the initiative: “Through this series, we are excited to support the next generation of esports talent across Southeast Asia by providing a platform where campus players can showcase their skills and create their golden moments.”

MLBB, a global mobile multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game, has surpassed 1.5 billion installations and records 110 million monthly active users, ranking among the top titles in more than 80 countries. Founded in 2014, MOONTON Games continues to expand its global esports footprint, while OPPO—established in 2008—remains committed to advancing smart device innovation that aligns with the region’s growing gaming culture. Together, the partnership further strengthens Southeast Asia’s collegiate e-sports landscape.
