Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Vince Dizon has urged assistance from the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the Department of National Defense (DND) to help with the validation of the nationwide flood-control projects’ anomalies.
In the letters shown to the media, dated September 11, Dizon pointed out that it was also President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s initiative to have the investigations and to hold the government officials who are involved accountable.
Dizon particularly asked for help from the members of the Philippine National Police (PNP) and Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) for validation; he also stated that they are “vital to uphold accountability, restore public trust, and safeguard interests of our people.”
The letters were sent and addressed separately to DILG Secretary Jonvic Remulla and DND Secretary Gilberto Teodoro Jr.
