A Thai court has issued an arrest warrant for former Miss Universe co-owner Anne Jakrajutatip after she failed to appear at a scheduled verdict hearing in her fraud case, according to reports from Thai media.
The warrant was issued by the South Bangkok Criminal Court after Jakrajutatip did not attend Tuesday’s hearing and did not provide an explanation for her absence. The court said her no-show suggested she intended to evade justice.
According to Khaosod English, the case involves an alleged fraud complaint over an investment worth 30 million Thai baht, or about ₱54.7 million. The court had required Jakrajutatip to be present for the verdict.
Jakrajutatip, a television personality and businesswoman, previously served as CEO of JKN Global Group, which acquired the Miss Universe Organization in 2022. She stepped down from her role earlier this year amid mounting financial troubles within the company.
The court has ordered authorities to proceed with her arrest.
Further details on the rescheduled verdict or her current whereabouts were not immediately available.
