University of Santo Tomas secured the last Final Four slot in the UAAP Season 88 women’s volleyball playoffs after booting Far Eastern University out of the tournament, 16–25, 25–20, 25–18, 25–16, to keep their championship hopes alive on April 25.
The Lady Tigresses averted a slow start as they regrouped with sharper strikes and improved floor defense in the succeeding frames to establish their rhythm, taking control of the match with consistent scoring runs throughout.
Key players also stepped up, delivering timely hits and solid net presence that disrupted the Lady Tamaraws’ offense.
Ultimately, the UST standouts routed the green-shirted team in the latter parts of the match, as they exploited the latter’s errors and misfires which spiraled to the Lady Tigresses’ triumph.
The victory marked the University of Santo Tomas’ sixth straight Final Four appearance, underscoring the team’s consistency and resilience in high-stakes situations.
